Bathtime is “the Bomb” with Bath Bombs!

A self-care routine is not complete without a bath bomb! Although it is cliché, no one can deny the fun that throwing in a bath bomb can make for any bathtime. In 1989, Mo Constantine was inspired by Alka-Seltzer tablets to create these cool, fizzy tablets, which we now commonly call bath bombs. (Thank you, Constantine!) Bath bombs are made of sodium bicarbonate and citric acid, which are responsible for the fizzing that we all know and love. (In case you are curious, here is the scientific formula for the fizzing: 5H7O5CO2H (aq.) + NaHCO3 (aq.) → C5H7O5CO2−Na+(aq.) + H2O(l) + CO2 (g) .) Bath bombs repair skin and strengthen blood vessels, which in turn create healthier skin.
