Tea to Help You Take Care of... YOU!

by Abby C. on July 25, 2021

The key to appreciating oneself is self-care. You need to get to know yourself and spend time with yourself to achieve that state of appreciation for yourself. Self-care comes in a vast variety of forms, from journaling to physical exercise, they are actions that nurture your mind, body, and soul. Self-care is not an act of selfishness, it is the practice of nourishing yourself from within to flourish in the outside world.

This is the philosophy behind what made Mi-Jae Kim, the CEO of TEA Collective, create her company. Kim, who is also the head of the design firm, Artment.dep., has created some of Korea’s most beloved spaces. Through her experiences in Japan and Britain, she understood the power of tea and wanted to incorporate Korean tea with the concept of space. She made it her mission to create a space where people can breathe and take some time out of their busy lives.

TEA Collective understands the difficulties of the people living in the modern world. They understand that the busy, individualistic world that we live in is overwhelming and hectic. We need time to recharge and take time for ourselves. Using tea as a medium, TEA Collective aims to provide moments of rest to help care for oneself.

Available in seven different types of high-quality tea, TEA Collective provides nourishment to the soul with each cup. Based on where you need healing, TEA Collective has the perfect tea waiting for you!

1) ENERGIZE - Black Tea

Are you feeling tired and in need of energy? Black tea creates a boost for the mind and the body to generate alertness.

2) SKINCARE - Green Tea

Green tea is really good for the skin, both when drinking and cleansing. Great skin builds self-confidence and self-image to help empower yourself.

3) SOOTHE - Ginger Tea

Give yourself a warm hug with a cup of ginger tea. Ginger helps to soothe physical sickness, like nausea and, of course, a bad hangover. It helps to reduce bloating and ease migraines.

4) UPLIFT - Mugwort Tea

Feeling a bit down? Mugwort tea has properties that help to boost your mood and memory to leave you feeling better after an emotionally draining day.

5) DETOX - Pumpkin Tea

Pumpkin tea is full of antioxidants and helps to get rid of free radicals. It also helps to reduce bloating and soothes the internal organs.

6) CLEANSE - Persimmon Leaf Tea

Persimmon leaf tea helps to cleanse the body by increasing blood circulation and supplementing the body with vitamin C.

7) IMMUNITY BOOST - Citron (Yuza) Tea

Boost your immune system with energizing citrus tea! Citron tea has a light flavor and helps to prevent colds by boosting the immune system.

Did you find the tea to accompany you on your next self-care session?

In addition to tea, aromatherapy is a beloved method of self-care. According to scientific research, when inhaled, molecules of certain scents travel to the brain and affect the emotional center of the brain. This means that certain smells can have an effect on the way that we feel and alleviate conditions like depression, insomnia, and anxiety.

TEA Collective and MAISON DE THE has done a collaboration to bring you a calming, earthy scent of flowers and plants to help you feel like you are in a peaceful meadow. Try spritzing the room with the Soil to Soil fragrance just before enjoying your cup of tea. This long-lasting scent will turn your room into a safe space just for you.

In the fast-paced modern world, self-care has become more crucial than ever. Take some time out to spend time with yourself and a nice cup of tea to cultivate your inner beau-tea (get it?). You cannot pour from an empty cup. Fill your own cup with love, the rest of the world can wait. You deserve it.

Inner beauty is the beauty that comes from the person’s characteristics. It is something that you cannot see, but only feel with your heart and soul. Being beautiful on the outside can be important, but being beautiful on the inside is the key to appreciating yourself and the world. You cannot get to the point of appreciating others without appreciating and feeling good about yourself. (You know, “As within so without, as above so below”?)
